A postcard in wood

A message etched into a thin wood card, with a hairline frame. This one came out right.

IPO·HAUS / ATTEMPT 05 / WOOD CARD / READY FOR REVIEW / GINAWA SA MAYNILA · 2026Wood card · Kahoy

A postcard cut from 2mm wood: a short message in the sender's own handwriting, traced and etched, with a dashed hairline frame and space for a stamp on the back.

The handwriting is what makes it. A typed message on wood looks like signage; a traced hand looks like a letter. The etch is set shallow so the strokes stay thin, and the card is light enough to actually post.

Third one of these off the bench and the first with nothing to fix. It sits at ready for review — which here means it gets propped on the shelf for a week to see if the maker still likes it on Friday.

A card like this could be made for you — a message in your own hand, etched to keep. Write to hello@ipohaus.com.
