A practice first. A studio when it’s earned.
ipohaus is a one-room studio in Alabang built around one machine. Right now the work is practice: engraving and cutting wood, leather, steel, and card, one attempt at a time, keeping what the bench teaches.
The name is the brief. Ipo, to keep. Haus, home. Every attempt gets a number and a record, and the finished ones earn a serial — made to be kept, not sent.
One room. A few hours a day. Slow on purpose.
A three-by-two-metre home studio. Warm local materials, acacia and veg-tan leather, worked by hand around the machine. Nothing here is a product line; each piece is a lesson first.
Every attempt is logged — settings, material, what the grain decided — the way a lab notebook would have it. When something is good enough to leave, it leaves numbered.
